Ingredients

For the truffles:
-2 cups dark chocolate chips
-1/2 cup heavy cream
-1 teaspoon chai spice
-1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
-1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
-1/4 teaspoon ground cardamom
-1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
-1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
-1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
For the topping:
-1/2 cup dark chocolate chips
-1 teaspoon chai spice

Instructions

To make the truffles:
1. Place the dark chocolate chips in a large heatproof bowl.
2. In a small saucepan, warm the heavy cream over medium heat until it starts to simmer.
3. Add the chai spice, cinnamon, ginger, cardamom, nutmeg, cloves, and vanilla extract to the cream and whisk to combine.
4. Pour the cream mixture over the chocolate chips and let sit for 5 minutes.
5. Stir the mixture until it is completely combined and smooth.
6. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 1 hour.
7. Remove the truffle mixture from the refrigerator and scoop out 1 teaspoon of the mixture. Roll it into a ball and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Repeat with the remaining truffle mixture.
8. Place the baking sheet in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
To make the topping:
1. Place the dark chocolate chips in a heatproof bowl.
2. In a small saucepan, warm the cream over medium heat until it starts to simmer.
3. Add the chai spice to the cream and whisk to combine.
4. Pour the cream mixture over the chocolate chips and let sit for 5 minutes.
5. Stir the mixture until it is completely combined and smooth.
6. Dip each truffle in the topping and place it back on the parchment-lined baking sheet.
7. Refrigerate the truffles for 30 minutes before serving.

Notes

-You can use any type of dark chocolate for the truffles.
-You can substitute the chai spice with other spices if desired.
