Ingredients
1/2 cup (113 grams) butter, softened to room temperature

2 teaspoons cornstarch
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cups (240 grams) semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 teaspoon flaky sea salt, plus more for topping
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line two large baking sheets with parchment paper or silicone baking mats. Set aside.
2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, cornstarch, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
3. In a large bowl using a hand mixer or a stand mixer fitted with a paddle attachment, beat the butter and brown sugar together on medium speed for about 2 minutes, until light and fluffy. Add the egg and vanilla extract and beat on high for about 2 minutes, until combined.
4. Slowly add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix on low until combined. Using a rubber spatula or wooden spoon, fold in the chocolate chips.
