Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar, for rolling

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2. In a medium bowl, whisk together cocoa powder, sugar, melted butter, and vanilla extract until combined.

3. In a separate bowl, sift together flour, baking powder, and salt. Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and stir until fully combined.

4. Place the powdered sugar in a shallow bowl. Scoop out the dough by the tablespoonful and roll into balls. Roll the balls in the powdered sugar until completely coated.

5. Place the balls on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 12 to 15 minutes. The cookies should be slightly puffed and cracked on top when done.
