Ingredients

- 2 cups of all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons of cocoa powder
- 1 tablespoon of baking powder
- ½ teaspoon of salt
- ½ cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips
- ½ cup of sugar
- 1 cup of milk
- 2 tablespoons of butter, melted
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract

Instructions

1. Start by adding the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, salt and chocolate chips to the breadmaker bowl. Give everything a good mix and then add the sugar and mix again.

2. In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract. Pour the wet ingredients into the breadmaker bowl and mix everything together.

3. Set your breadmaker to “Dough” setting and let it run for about 45 minutes. Once the dough is ready, take it out and shape it into a loaf. Place the loaf in a greased loaf pan and let it rise for about an hour.

4. Preheat your oven to 350°F and bake the chocolate bread for about 30 minutes. Once the bread is done, let it cool for about 10 minutes before serving.

Notes

You can also use a stand mixer if you don’t have a breadmaker. Just make sure to mix the ingredients together until they are well combined and then knead the dough for about 8-10 minutes until it is smooth and elastic.
