Ingredients

  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup caramel sauce
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • Powdered sugar, for dusting

Instructions

Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease and line a 10x15 inch baking sheet with parchment paper.

In a large bowl, whisk together eggs and sugar until light in color and fluffy. Add in flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt, stirring until completely combined. Gradually add in oil and vanilla extract, stirring until combined.

Spread batter into the prepared baking sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Remove from oven and let cool completely.

Once cooled, spread caramel sauce over the cake and roll up. Place on a large plate or platter.

In a small saucepan, melt chocolate chips and heavy cream together over low heat, stirring until smooth. Pour over the rolled cake and spread to cover. Sprinkle with powdered sugar, if desired.

Let cool in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour before slicing and serving. Enjoy!
