Chocolate Fondue

Chocolate Fondue is a great way to enjoy chocolate in an unusual way. It’s easy to make, and you can get creative with the ingredients you use. For the fondue, you’ll need semi-sweet chocolate chips, heavy cream, butter, and a pinch of sea salt. You’ll also need a fondue pot, or a double boiler and a heat-proof bowl.

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 pinch sea salt

Instructions:

In a double boiler, or a heat-proof bowl over a pot of simmering water, melt the chocolate chips until smooth. Add in the cream and butter, stirring until fully combined. For a thicker fondue, you can add more chocolate chips. Add the sea salt and stir to combine.

Transfer the fondue to the fondue pot and turn the heat on low. Serve the fondue with fresh fruit, marshmallows or a selection of cookies – the possibilities are endless. You can also make a savory fondue with a combination of cheese and chocolate.

Notes:

If you’re using a double boiler, make sure the bowl is not touching the water. If the fondue gets too thick, you can add more cream or butter to thin it out. You can also add in a few tablespoons of your favorite liqueur for an extra special treat.
