Ingredients

For the cake:

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour a 9x13 inch pan.

2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cocoa powder. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the milk and vanilla. Beat in the flour mixture until just blended.

3. Pour the batter into the prepared pan. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean. Allow to cool for 10 minutes before inverting onto a wire rack to cool completely.
