Ingredients

To make these delicious truffles, you will need the following ingredients:

  • 1 cup of Cadbury chocolate, melted
  • 1/2 cup of light cream cheese, softened
  • 1 tablespoon of butter, softened
  • 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup of powdered sugar
  • 3/4 cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 2 tablespoons of heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup of chopped pecans or other nuts (optional)

Instructions

To begin, melt the Cadbury chocolate in the microwave or over a double boiler. Once melted, add the cream cheese, butter and vanilla extract and mix until smooth. Add the powdered sugar and mix until completely combined. Once the mixture is smooth, add the chocolate chips and mix until combined. Finally, add the heavy cream and mix until combined.

Next, place the mixture in the refrigerator for approximately 45 minutes, or until it has set. Once set, remove from the refrigerator and form into 1-inch balls. Place the balls on a parchment lined baking sheet and place in the freezer for 15 minutes.

Once the truffles have set, melt the remaining semi-sweet chocolate chips in the microwave or over a double boiler. Dip each truffle into the melted chocolate and then roll in the chopped nuts, if desired. Place the truffles back on the parchment lined baking sheet and place in the freezer for another 15 minutes or until the chocolate has set.

After the chocolate has set, the truffles are ready to be enjoyed! Serve them cold or at room temperature. Enjoy!

Notes

If you want to make the truffles even more special, you can add a few drops of your favorite extract, such as almond or peppermint, to the melted chocolate. You can also use different types of nuts, such as walnuts or almonds, in place of the pecans. This recipe can also be used to make chocolate covered strawberries or other fruits.
